About

I’m Tatjana, the joyful chaos behind Seamus Allen Bath and Bookery — a small-batch studio where everything is handbound, handpoured, and handmade with chaos & care. My creative life began decades ago making cards for family and friends, who’ve been urging me to sell my work ever since. I hesitated because I love making too much to turn it into a job. But here we are — and I promise, it’s still not a job.

Seamus Allen Bath and Bookery was born one day in my home office, with my partner coming up with the name. Seamus Allen is my rescue dog, who joined us in August 2022 and has been the best partner in crime, snuggler, and sidekick ever since. Wherever I go, he goes too.

My studio is based in Boston. We are queer, socialist, and committed to loving everyone while trying to be better folks every day. Think of me as your socialist hippie aunt your folks whisper about.

The shop blends my lifelong love of handmade arts — from handbound journals, original linocut prints, and playful stickers, to deeply hydrating lotions, balms, and lip products. Every item is crafted with intention and a little sparkle, designed to bring joy, comfort, and a touch of magic to your everyday.

Whether sewing each stitch in a journal, carving a block for prints, or whipping up small-batch body butter, my work is a love letter to imperfection, authenticity, and creative chaos.

I wanted to take a moment to share where I got Seamus Allen. The good folks over at Pittie Posse Rescue in Maine. The team in Maine vets all of their adopters and fosters; they are careful who they pair together, and it shows. From their website,  "We don’t just rescue dogs and find them new homes. We strongly advocate for responsible dog ownership particularly for our bully breeds, and include training as an integral part of our mission." Seamus Allen and I go everywhere together; he's a true gentleman, so we advocate for his rescuers. They're wonderful people who connected me with my best friend.
